Designing for a Grand Vision: Library Inauguration at Lekhak Gaon
An Honourable Cultural Project with National Significance
The Brief
We had the distinct honour of leading the complete visual and communication design for the prestigious inauguration of the Nalanda Library & Research Center at Lekhak Gaon, Dehradun, held on 25th December 2024, in celebration of the birth centenary of Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji. This landmark initiative was driven by Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank', Hon’ble Former Union Education Minister of India, in collaboration with the Sparsh Himalaya Foundation and Uttarakhand Bhasha Sansthan.
This national-level literary and cultural event was graced by an esteemed lineup of dignitaries, including:
-Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand
-Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla, Hon’ble Governor of Himachal Pradesh
-Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Hon’ble Former Vice President of India
-Padma Bhushan Shri Rajat Sharma, Chairman & Editor-in-Chief, India TV
-Maj. Gen. (Retd.) Shri Asim Kohli, CEO, Flag Foundation of India
Our creative team was entrusted with designing every visual asset of this event on an extremely urgent timeline. With last-minute changes, immediate approvals, and live event demands, we had to deliver high-impact designs within a 15–20 minute turnaround per asset. It was a test of not just design skills, but also speed, clarity, and communication under pressure.
Scope of the Design Project
Despite the tight deadlines, our goal was to maintain high-quality aesthetics and thematic consistency across all deliverables. These included:
-Event Branding: A consistent visual identity reflecting cultural prestige and literary elegance.
-Social Media Creatives: Rapidly created countdowns, speaker announcements, and invites for digital platforms.
-Banners and Brochures: Informative, elegant print material designed under extreme time constraints with high accuracy.
-Stage Backdrop Screen: A professionally layered visual for the main stage that maintained clarity and impact in a live setting.
-Gold Plate Designs: Honorary commemorative designs used for felicitation, created within minutes and yet crafted with attention to detail.
