A book shaped by journeys through Uttarakhand found its way to New Delhi.

Authored by Lokesh Ohri, Designed by Unmatched Graphics and published by Book World, Ambles Across Godland explores Uttarakhand through journeys, histories, landscapes, communities and cultural memory.

The book was released at the Humayun's Tomb World Heritage Site Museum in New Delhi, bringing together voices from the worlds of heritage, conservation, travel and culture.

What began as stories gathered across the Himalayan state now entered another room, another city and another conversation.

From Uttarakhand / To New Delhi

A book rooted
in Uttarakhand.
Launched in
New Delhi.

An evening
around stories.

The launch became more than the unveiling of a publication — it became a conversation around Uttarakhand, its histories, its landscapes and the many ways in which a place can be documented.

The launch also carried the sounds of Uttarakhand into the evening through a traditional Dhol-Damaun performance.

The book became
a conversation.

The discussion was moderated by Soity Banerjee and brought together Sohail Hashmi, Aman Nath and Sejal Worah, alongside author Lokesh Ohri.

Together, the conversation moved through questions of heritage, conservation, travel and the ways in which Uttarakhand continues to be understood and experienced.

The evening also featured a Dhol-Damaun performance by Chandrabadni Himalayi Naad — bringing a living expression of the region into the launch itself.

A Studio Moment

A milestone
for the book.
A special one
for us.

For Unmatched Graphics, seeing a publication we had worked on reach a platform like this was a moment worth documenting. Long after the files leave the studio, it is moments like these that remind us where design eventually travels.
